STANDARD DISCRIMINATION STANDARDS

This work is a collaboration with Kenjiro Okazaki, exhibited at IBM-Kawasaki City Gallery in January, 1993. It emerged from discussions we had about how categorization is fundamental to racial discrimination, and its wider sexual, geopolitical, and cultural ramifications. Most of the modest budget was used for creating an illustrated catalog. The installation itself required crawling into and through a confining structure. Several scripted videos were made as well, but have not been located.
